Red Bull sealed a second constructors title in a row – and a sixth in their history – at this weekend’s Japanese Grand Prix, as Max Verstappen dominated in Suzuka to take a 13th win of the season. Here to review all of those events in Suzuka is our F1 Nation crew.
Our usual trio of Tom Clarkson, Natalie Pinkham, and Damon Hill are on hand to discuss Red Bull’s achievement, as they analyse their performances throughout the 2023 season, Verstappen’s epic performance, and Sergio Perez’s struggles.
Red Bull’s closest competitors in Japan were McLaren and they look back at the papaya team’s best result of the season. They also heap praise on Lando Norris and rookie Oscar Piastri – who finished on the podium for the first time in his F1 career.
They also analyse Lewis Hamilton’s comments regarding visiting the Mercedes designers to check whether they are making the changes he wants to their 2024 car. They look at the team’s situation and whether they can return to contending next season.
While also discussing whether Red Bull are the best team ever, they analyse their sister outfit AlphaTauri – who revealed that Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda will be their driver line-up in 2024, as they look at what that means for Liam Lawson.
Also joining our crew to discuss all the above are Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner and their Sporting Director Jonathan Wheatley. As well as that, McLaren’s Team Principal Andrea Stella also stops by for a quick chat after their double podium.
You can also hear the thoughts of Mercedes’ Communication Director Bradley Lord, Aston Martin’s Team Principal Mike Krack, and Alpine driver Esteban Ocon – fresh from his ninth-place finish in Japan.
